Paruppu Payasam / Moong Dal Payasam an Onam Special. A rich and classsic South Indian dessert shining with the flavors of moong dal, coconut and sweetness of jaggery. Perfect to make for any celebration.
Ingredients :-
  • Ghee 2 tspn
  • Moong Dal 1/3 cup
  • Water  2,1/2 cup
  • Cardamom 1/8 tspn
  • Coconut milk 2/3 cup
  • Cashew 5, chopped
  • Dry Coconut flakes
Method :-
1.sabse pahle ek pan le us mein ghee garam kare and phir moong dal ko roast kare tab tak roast kare jab tak color golden brown na hojaye
2.ab us mein 2 cups pani dale an acchese pakaye medium flame mein but dal puri tarah se mashed nahi hona chahiye
3.ab dusri tarf dusra pan le aur us mein jaggery and pani dal ke usko acchese melt kare thick hone tak and phir channi se chaan kar alag nikal le
4.ab jaggery syrup ko moong dal mein dale and acchese mix kar ke pakaye pakne ke bad cardamom powder dale and mix kare
5.ab coconut milk dale aur 2 minutes acchese pakaye and phir gas off kar de
6.ab ek pan mein 1,1/2 tspn ghee garam kare and us mein cashew and coconut flakes dale aur fry kare golden hone tak
7.ab cashew and coconut flakes ghee k sath hi add kare payasam mein and acchese mix kare
8.ab hamara sweet tasty garama garm payasam ban kar taiyar hai khane ke liye payasam ko garama garam hi surve kare..
