2 types of Rasam

Dal Rasam / Pappu Charu Recipe Andra Style
A thin consistency dal recipe called as pappu charu made with tomatoes, tamarind pulp, yellow lentils along with aromatic tempering..
Ingredients :-
  • 1 cup of toovar dal
  • 3-4 medium size tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tspn turmeric powder
  • 1 tspn red chilli powder
  • 1 tbspn oil
  • 1, 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup tamarind pulp
  • 3-4 curry leaves
  • 1 tbspn coriander leaves
  • 1 tspn mustard seed
  • 1 tspn cumin seed
  • 4 red chillies
  • 1 tspn hing
  • salt to taste
Method :-
1.sabse pahle 1 cup of dal boil kare aur tamarind ko bhi alag se boil karle alag rakh de
2.ab ek pan le usmein 3-4 medium size chopped kiye hue tomatoes dale phir us mein 1 tspn turmeric powder,1 tspn red chilli powder dale and acchese mix kare
3.ab 1/2 cup of tamarind pulp dale aur acchese pakne de
4.ab us mein boil dal dale aur salt dale aur achese pakaye
5.ab tadka pan le aur us mein 1 tbspn oil dale phir 1 tspn mustard seed and 1 tspn cumin seed and 1 tspn hing dale phir 4 red chillies and curry leaves dale aur fry hone de jaise hi tadka taiyar hojaye tadke ko dal mein dal de aur acchese mix kare.
6.ab upar se coriander leaves dale aur mix kare and rice ke sath garama garam rasam surve kare.
